Marine Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) Operator course

Course also known as: MASS Operator course

This training program is designed for personnel who require the knowledge, skills, and experience to operate a Marine Autonomous Surface ship. An existing Master Mariner or Chief Mate qualification appropriate to size of the size of vessel being operated will be a prerequisite for this course.

The course will be delivered through theory sessions followed by simulator based practical ‘hands-on’ sessions to provide candidates with optimal learning outcomes. Content in this course will be generic in nature. Extensive use of AMC’s Simulators are proposed for this course.

Outcome

Participants who successfully complete this course will be eligible to receive an Australian Maritime College Certificate in Marine Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) Operator Training.
